The Philadelphia Flower Show is both the nation’s largest and the world’s longest-running event of its kind, says the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. It’s also been honored as the best overall event in the world by the International Festivals & Events Association.

The show, first held in 1829, attracts about 250,000 people each March to the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
