Philly’s City Hall clocks are larger than Big Ben’s

It’s hard to believe. But Philadelphia’s City Hall clock faces are more than three feet larger in diameter than Big Ben at London’s Palace of Westminster. The numbers: 26 feet here compared to almost 23 feet in London.

Our clocks look smaller, though, because they are twice as high: 362 feet above ground in Philly, as opposed to Big Ben in London at 180 feet.
